Lorenia Parada Ampudia, born in Mexico, offers her services as a relationship coach, mentor, mediator, consultant, entrepreneurial educator, former professor and co-founder of several educational institutions. With over 30 years of experience in teaching and leadership activities at a leading university in Mexico in the fields of sexuality, psychology, and education. 

Co-developed and co-facilitated, since 2007, a Body and Emotional Awareness Practice. Offered workshops internationally to professionals from the fields of education and health.

From her extensive experience as a leader in creating groups, alliances, international networks and facilitating workshops, she developed her own approach to healthy relationships and creative self-awareness leadership.  Her passion is to assist individuals, groups, and organizations with body-mind awareness integration.

Her natural leadership led her to co-found various organizations in the field of education and leadership, including:

  • The Human Ecology Program at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), an integral, transformative and sustainable educational program that incorporates the emergent fields of studies of somatic education and body-mind psychology. The first program in a mainstream higher education institution to include mindfulness, human sexuality, body & emotional consciousness, communication skills, and creative leadership.

  • The internationally-recognized Centro de Investigaciones y Estudios de Género (CIEG) at UNAM,

  • Eight Local, National, International, and Latin-American networks.

  • She also founded UNAM’s School of Psychology Women’s Research Center, and GAMU the first Mexican University Women’s Group (Grupo Autónomo de Mujeres Universitarias).

She held a Professorship (1984-2012) at the leading National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) at the School of Psychology, in Mexico.

Being bilingual and bi-cultural she has lectured and facilitated workshops throughout Latin America, England and the United States of America.

She has a private practice as a life coach, mediator, and mentor with a focus on cultivating healthy embodied relationships and leadership based on the integration of mind and body. Her integrative methods include transformative learning, mindfulness, emotional intelligence, body-mind awareness, and brain wave training.
